TODAY: Former President Bill Clinton just minutes ago arrived to a daunting deposition on Capitol Hill, where he will be forced to finally answers questions under oath about his friendship and travels with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This bombshell deposition comes after the recent release of Epstein files show President Clinton photographed with young ladies on airplanes with Jeffrey Epstein. They also scandalously show the former president in a hot tub appearing to be receiving some sort of, well, ahem, oral favor from a young woman who is under water. (She must have impeccable breath-holding capabilities!)

WHY THIS IS SIGNIFICANT: The Clintons, who are deeply lawyered up and are lawyers themselves, no doubt thought they’d be able to AVOID being deposed under oath. Just last month, their lawyers were wrangling over whether the two would ever testify and had succeeded in delaying the depositions, undoubtedly in hopes that matter would disappear from the news cycle. (Hint: It hasn’t.)

One of the primary reasons the Clintons aren’t able to pull a Houdini and wiggle out of the depositions is that Republicans in Congress have learned from President Donald Trump how to fight. They made no bones about the fact that if Bill and Hillary Clinton avoided testifying, they’d face “contempt of congress” and face jail time.

Slick Willie’s deposition today comes just one day after his wife Hillary’s deposition in Chappaqua, N.Y. which ironically took place at the Performing Arts Center. Ironic, as she has been performatively pretending to be a supporter of women, despite her husband’s past scandals with Monica Lewinsky, Paula Jones, Kathleen Wiley, and Anita Broderick, to name a few. In all of those cases, Hillary was reportedly the ringleader in the smear campaigns against the women. She really gives Tammy Wynette a run for her money.

FACT-CHECK: Is it Racist to Ask for Voter ID?

It’s the question everyone is mulling over these days: Should Americans be required to show proof of I.D. to vote?

The short answer: Yes.

So, it is racist to ask for voter I.D.?

Short answer: NO.

We’ll tell you why.

First of all, America is the ONLY nation out of nearly 200 countries that doesn’t require you to show proof of I.D. to vote. That’s completely insane. You’re required to show an I.D. to board an airplane, to cash a $20 check, to pick up concert tickets at a Will Call box office, and to do a host of menial tasks in this country. Why isn’t our most precious right a deserving cause?

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (or “SAVE”) Act is a piece of legislation that arrives next to the United States Senate for a vote on tightening identification requirements for American elections.

The proposal comes as Americans are reporting they are growing increasingly concerned about election security.

The SAVE Act will strengthen election integrity by ensuring that only American citizens vote (Gee, there’s a novel concept!). The SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship in for the form of a passport, original birth certificate or other approved documentation. The goal is to prevent illegal immigrants from being able to register to vote and to cast ballots in our elections.

The bill would also require states to remove non-citizens from their current voter rolls and could set standards for how voter rolls are maintained. Already, the Deputy Attorney General of the United States, Harmeet Dhillon, a friend to this publication, has sounded the alarm about the manner in which some states manage their voter registration files. The Trump administration has already required several states to clean up their voter files, or face Civil Rights violations.

The SAVE Act would also prohibit wide usage of mail-in ballots, which are rife with fraud. On a good day, The Heritage Foundation reports that 1 in 4 mail-in paper ballots are subject to error which could disqualify a person’s vote and disenfranchise the voter. On a bad day, widespread voter fraud and forgery can be committed. Under The SAVE Act, mail-in ballots may only be used in case of illness, emergency travel, or other emergency circumstance.

How The SAVE Act differs from past pablum is that it actually has teeth. Under The SAVE Act, elections officials could face stiff penalties if they register someone to vote without proper identification. This is to encourage adherence to the law.

Democrats are of course doing what they do best: playing the race card, suggesting the plan is racist.

What they don’t understand is that voting in a country’s election is a simple yet mighty responsibility that should not be afforded to foreign citizens. We don’t walk up to the elections desk in Paris and suggest that we ought to be able to vote there. Why, then, America?

To suggest that protecting Americans’ right to vote is somehow racist isn’t even accurate. Former President Lyndon B. Johnson even said that the vote is the single most powerful instrument for gaining equality. Therefore, for the single Black mother in South Central L.A. or Fulton County, Georgia, the right to vote and then have your vote not usurped and cancelled out by someone who’s not legally here may be the one thing standing between you and building a better life for your family on issues such as the economy, jobs, national security, border security, and so much more. We can’t leave it to chance. We must have accurate elections.

“The vote is the most powerful instrument ever devised by man for breaking down injustice.”

President Lyndon B. Johnson

What’s next: The bill has passed the U.S. House of Representatives and it goes to the U.S. Senate next, where it awaits a vote. We urge Republican Senate Majority Leader John Thune (whom I used to book on FOX News!) to give The SAVE Act a fair shot at a floor vote.

TRUMP: “The State of our Union is STRONG”

At President Trump’s “State of the Union” address this week, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house — including ours.

President Trump took to the podium to do what he does best — talk about the strength of our American might, laced with storytelling that leaves an impact.

Tuesday night was no different.

While the president undoubtedly presented strong jobs and economics numbers and a host of other metrics regarding how America is doing monumentally better than it was under his predecessor Joe Biden, Trump’s best moments as usual could not be measured in sheer numbers.

Whether it was surprising a World War II veteran with the Medal of Honor or suprising the daughter of a newly-released Venezuelan political prisoner that her father was standing behind her the entire address, Trump’s speech was dotted with heart-warming moments.

The president surprised West Virginia National Guard member Andrew Wolfe with the Purple Heart Award, one of the most prestigious awards a military member can receive as the award was created by our first Commander in Chief George Washington. Wolf’s National Guard patrol partner, Sarah Beckstrom, was also shot in the same incident and later died from her injuries. She, too, was from West Virginia.

Our favorite tear-swelling moment of the night, however, was the U.S. Coast Guard officer credited with saving more than 160 lives during the tragic floods at Camp Mystic, Texas last summer. Then just a rookie on the force, he helicoptered in and rescue girl after girl, even after his superiors said it likely couldn’t be done. He went back down the rope more than 160 times to rescue others. At the State of the Union address, he was seated next to one of the young survivors he saved. President Trump asked him to stand to receive the Legion of Merit award, a military award recognizing “extraordinary heroism and exceptionally meritorious conduct.” That certainly sums up Coast Guard member Scott Ruskan, who capped off the pinning of the award with an adorable fist bump with one of his littlest survivors.
