Your K-Cups Sat in a Warehouse for Months. Taste It?
Here's why grocery store pods taste flat no matter which brand you grab: coffee's flavor comes from delicate oils that start evaporating right after roasting. Store-bought K-Cups spend months in warehouses and trucks before they ever hit your Keurig — and some big brands deliberately over-roast so you won't notice the staleness.
Angelino's, a family-owned Los Angeles roastery, skips all of it. They roast, grind, and pack their own pods, then ship within days of roasting — never months. Compatible with all Keurig® brewers, from 39¢ a cup, with 50+ flavors from Breakfast Blend to Jamaican Me Crazy. New customers get 15% off their first order — no code, no subscription required.

HOWDY! from the great state of Texas, a place we love so much we recently made it our new home. And so has the Republican National Committee—Well, for the week, that is…
It’s the first day of the inaugural (first-in-history) RNC Midterm Convention—and the excitement is already palpable.
Once anticipated to be a yawn of a convention (read: Midterm Elections = boring, right?), President Trump has upped the ante as only Trump can, and it’s going to be one for the record books. With 109 VIP speakers over two nights, and every Cabinet member on deck to speak, it’s on pace to break records beyond even a regular RNC Convention.
President Trump is set to not only headline but to close out the convention BOTH nights, living up to his recent pledge to be on the campaign trail every single day from now through the November elections.
OPENING NIGHT: Already, I’m happy to share there is a strong focus on “unity.” An opening night reception at “CommUNITY Beer” patio bar saw Speaker of the House Mike Johnson kicking off convention week amid a sea of cowboy hats. Scoop alert: Word has it that he asked for everyone to put their cameras away so that he could share that the GOP’s internal polling is holding steady and “Republicans are going to maintain control of the House!”
We’re not sure if that was just the beer talking, but we’ll take it.
As of 3pm CST today, the RNC Midterm Convention will get formally underway. Here’s what to expect before then…
Film Party & Panel Discussion: “Remember the Alamo: Don’t Sharia My Texas”

Our friends Chris and Lisa Burgard have been barnstorming Texas with their new film, “Remember the Alamo: Don’t Sharia My Texas.”
Now? They’re bringing their tour bus to the Big D.
A film screening for the new movie gets underway this morning at 10am CST at the W Hotel in Dallas, across the street from where the RNC Convention will kick off at the American Airlines Center. (Free tickets for that, here.)
The filmmaker will join with The Dallas Express newspaper and former CBS News reporter Lara Logan to discuss the new movie, detailing the real-life problem facing the state of Texas: Sharia Law creeping into local communities.
It’s hard to believe that upon the 25th anniversary of 9/11 that Sharia Law is taking a foothold in the U.S., but it is happening and in the deep red state of Texas, of all places. Here are some of the recent battles:
In the Plano, Texas area, a proposed “EPIC City” development affiliated with the East Plano Islamic Center was exposed by citizens as aiming to become a “Sharia city.”
In Kaufman County, Texas a proposed 2,300-acre development by a Dubai-based company was exposed then subsequently abandoned last March following an investigation.
In McKinney, Texas just outside of Dallas, a large mosque by the McKinney Islamic Association was just approved by the City Council, 7-0, in August.
If you’re concerned about Sharia Law and want to learn more—but you’re not in Dallas for the RNC Midterm Convention and want to watch the livestream of the panel discussion, you can catch it here.
What’s next: The film’s bus tour will head to New York City soon. Can you imagine this bus pulling up to Gracie Mansion? We can, and we’re here for it.
